Brent Klassen
Brent Klassen has a background as a consultant and facilitator, and through the creative agencies he co-founded, has worked extensively with teams in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors.
He has a keen interest in organizational and leadership development, and brings a curiosity about the ways in which natural systems provide models and metaphors that can guide human organizations.
Brent has a Computer Science degree and a music diploma. Prior to launching the cidery at Heartwood, he co-founded and directed two creative agencies.
Val Steinmann
Val Steinmann has been a regenerative farmer for almost two decades and has a passion for connecting people to land, animals, and food, and in so doing, creating community.
She is an experienced animator who inspires farm visitors – from demonstrations of simple daily farm chores to explanations of the concrete ways in which ecological agriculture can mitigate climate change.
Val has an M.A. in Adult Education and a keen interest in community-based methods of knowledge creation and sharing.
